Why skiers love Schladming

Four mountains on one lift pass, a World Cup slope ending in the middle of town, and racing under floodlights.

Four mountains, one pass

Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm are linked on snow — ski the whole circuit without touching a bus.

The Nightrace

Since 1997 the Planai has hosted the World Cup night slalom, the best-attended race on the circuit, with up to 50,000 fans in the finish stadium.

Night skiing on the Hochwurzen

Floodlit pistes keep the day going long after the last chair has closed on the other mountains.

123 km of pistes

43 lifts, 56 mountain huts and a season that runs from December into April.

The mountain starts in town

The Planai cable car leaves from the middle of Schladming, so the slopes begin where the street ends.

Part of Ski amadé

One of the largest lift-pass networks in Austria, with Schladming as its Styrian heart.
