Breckenridge
Breckenridge is one of the most visited ski resorts in the United States, spread across five peaks of the Tenmile Range in Summit County, Colorado — about 80 miles (130 km) west of Denver. The mountain opened on 16 December 1961 and has been owned by Vail Resorts since 1997. Peaks 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 form one continuous ski area above a genuine 1859 gold-rush town, whose Victorian Main Street sits at 9,600 ft and runs right below the slopes.

The BreckConnect Gondola runs from the town of Breckenridge to the Peak 8 base area; free shuttles link the Peak 7, Peak 8 and Peak 9 bases.
